About us


Livability Australia is a locally owned business that provides support to adults with physical, intellectual and psychosocial disabilities and complex, challenging behaviours. This support is carried out in the participants homes, within the community and within the local community settings. We participate in activities within the home and the community to assist the people we support in achieving their individual goals. This role is suited to people that are highly motivated, empathetic and enthusiastic with highly developed communication skills. We are currently offering positions within several community home settings and roles in assisting people to access their community regularly.


The Role


The Disability Support Worker role is personally rewarding as you are contributing to help improve the quality of life of a number of individuals. You may be required to undertake the following tasks:



  • Provide emotional and practical assistance to the people we support.

  • Assist individuals in developing their daily living skills.

  • Assist with personal care.

  • Supporting people to create and maintain networks of support.

  • Assist with household tasks and domestic duties such as meal preparation.

  • Record information to a high standard including formal reporting.

  • Follow and implement support plans designed by professionals.

  • Be available for various shifts including evenings, weekends and sleepovers.

  • Supporting people in the community and to appointments.

Key Skills and Requirements: 
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:



  • Must be living in Australia

  • Be able to work with and develop rapport with our female client base

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Current Drivers License

  • Empathy and kindness

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral

  • Knowledge of Australian culture and local areas of interest

  • Current First Aid certificate

  • Current WWVP Registration

  • A motor vehicle with Comprehensive insurance

  • Manual handling and experience using a ceiling hoist

  • Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Modules
