Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sheetmetal Tradesperson for our Gold Coast workshop for an immediate start.

With 25 years company experience we are professionals at Sheetmetal Improvements & Design. We take on jobs for residential, commercial and industrial clients – Stainless Steel Fabrication, Aluminium Fabrication, Stainless Steel Benches, Sheet Metal Pressing and Stamping, Exhaust Canopies, Welding, Laser Cutting and Custom Creations.  Our machinery is state-of-the-art.  We also provide mobile welding throughout the Gold Coast, Brisbane and beyond.  

THE ROLE:

• Reading blueprints and specifications: Interpret drawings and specifications to determine the required materials, dimensions, and procedures for the project.


• Measuring and marking: Measure and mark dimensions on sheet metal to guide cutting and shaping.


• Cutting and shaping: Using tools such as shears, press brakes, and rollers, they cut and shape sheet metal into the desired forms.


• Welding and soldering: MIG and TIG welding metal pieces together using welding, soldering, or other techniques.


• Installing: Install finished sheet metal products, such as ducts, pipes, and roofs, according to specifications.


• Repairing and maintaining: Repair or replace damaged sheet metal components and perform maintenance to ensure their longevity.


• Ensuring quality: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

KEY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• Living in Australia 


• Living within easy reach of Burleigh Heads Gold Coast Queensland


• Fit and healthy


• Experienced in MIG and TIG welding


• Drivers licence (preferred)


• Have all of the skills in the role above
