Job Description
We are seeking a Qualified Mechanic for our workshop in Deer Park Melbourne for an immediate start.
THE ROLE
6 days a week Monday to Saturday.
Diagnose and troubleshoot: Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify problems with engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, and other related components.
Repair and replace: Perform repairs and replacements on faulty parts, including fuel injectors, turbochargers, pistons, gaskets, valves, and other engine components. This may involve disassembling and reassembling engine parts.
Conduct maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and lubrication, to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of the engines.
Utilize diagnostic equipment: Effectively use specialized diagnostic equipment and software to retrieve error codes, perform diagnostic tests, and analyze engine performance data.
Maintain records: Keep accurate records of repairs, inspections, maintenance activities, and parts used for each vehicle or equipment.
Follow safety protocols: Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and minimize risks associated with heavy machinery and hazardous materials.
Provide customer service: Communicate with customers to understand their concerns, explain repair procedures, and provide estimates for the required work. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues.

Proven experience as a qualified mechanic, with a strong understanding of engines and related systems.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot engine problems.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
