Chocolate Destinations Group is recruiting for an experienced, capable, hands-on Retail Manager to lead our amazing retail team at our stunning Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery. 

This important and exciting role will see you working closely with the Front of House Operations manager leading a business that welcomes 800,000 visitors each year! 

Together, with our Front of House Manager, you will be building on our well-established base of committed team members and return customers, to expand and develop a capable team that can support the ongoing growth the Chocolaterie continues to experience.

About Us

Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery is an amazing tourism venue created out of passion, set on 40 beautiful acres in the Yarra Valley just 15 minutes from Lilydale. Our personal service, high-quality standards, amazing festivals and ever-growing chocolate range make locals and travellers keen to return time and time again.

We’re looking for someone to lead our stunning retail showroom and team, which showcases over 480 different chocolate products, with couverture chocolate production on view and in-house ice creamery. 

Working closely with the Front of House team, you’ll be leading the customer service and sales experience for our retail operations.

The position is permanent full time, working 5 days per week including at least one day per weekend. No nights! The Chocolaterie is open 7 days per week from 9am to 5pm. 

Your Role

The Retail Manager will support the execution of the day-to-day operations across the retail showroom.

You will be focussed on maintaining our high standards, attention to detail in customer service, presentation, execution of consistent procedures, strong sales and overall operational excellence.

You enjoy giving people a ‘wow factor’ experience – tasting our chocolates, experiencing our workshops and all things sweet!
