We are seeking an Experienced Sales Consultant to join our front of house sales team.

COMPANY PROFILE

Paradise Timbers are specialists in manufacturing quality mouldings from a wide variety of timber species, marketing to residential, commercial and trade customers across Australia. We also supply doors, jambs, caviets, CFC cladding, MDF VJ and wainscoting sheets.

THE ROLE

Experience in the timber industry is preferred but not a must.  We are prepared to train the top applicant in timber-related terminology. Your main role will be to drive sales.  The successful applicants should be available to work Monday to Friday, and also Saturday mornings (on rotation.)  Responsibilities will be including, but not limited to serving customers, answering phones, processing cash/eftpos sales, work orders, purchasing and quoting. AGE IS NO BARRIER.

The successful applicant needs to be able to think outside the box and be well versed in multi-tasking, working under pressure and prioritising.  You need to be able to work with others as well as on your own.

We are after someone that can handle high pressure and quiet times.  Someone that is willing to learn new things, deal with difficult customers at times, be able to physically help with lifting timber onto vehicles (when needed), someone trustworthy, fun, patient, willing to put in a honest day’s work with their wellbeing and the company’s wellbeing at the centre.

Timber knowledge will be highly preferred, however Sales ability will be paramount. . We are at Helensvale on the Gold Coast and we don’t mind the age of the applicant as long as they are physically fit and capable of lifting.  There are two other guys in the showroom and we are looking for a third as we are so busy.  It is a great role for the right person and we are a good, family, fun company to work for.  Free parking available.
