SEEKING Early Childhood Cook/Chef in Melton South. This position is working Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm running our kitchen. We have all menus and recipes already set, therefore you will ensure the ordering is placed every week, the food is cooked to perfection, and served to the children. Our meals are wholesome meals, just like you would get at home.A true passion for cooking and working with children essential.

POSITION OBJECTIVES

The employee has responsibility to achieve the required level of performance within his or her work, exercise initiative, discretion and judgment in the performance of duties, perform routine and specialised non-routine tasks, contribute as a supportive and productive team member and, here required, work under direction to provide assistance with:

• The efficient and effective running of the kitchen
• The health and safety of the children and adults in the service
• The implementation of, and compliance with, the philosophy, policies and procedures of the service
• The implementation of Food Safety legal compliance requirements
• The implementation of the service’s Food Safety Plan

QUALIFICATION

• Level 1 Food Safety and Handling qualification or equivalent and;
• Corresponding experience and knowledge in a similar role
• Must be living in Australia with an easy reach to Melton South Melbourne

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

• A working with children check with a record determined suitable for child related work
• Successful completion of the Child Protection Training
• Willingness to voluntarily attend out of hours meetings, training and service functions
• Current driver’s license
