About the business


Le Smileys Early Learning Centre is a friendly family-owned and operated service in Gracemere and Rockhampton.  We have natural play spaces and an unlimited supply of resources for Teachers and educators to access.  Our team environment allows all educators to contribute to the program, room and Centre environment.  Teachers and Educators are supported financially and encouraged to continue their professional journey, whether that be to further their qualifications or to attend workshops and conferences for inspiration.  We have a team that is professional, passionate and forward-thinking. 


About the role


We are seeking an ECT completed or working towards.   We are seeking Teachers that are enthusiastic about providing high-quality early childhood programs based on the Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines and the Early Years Learning Framework.  The ECT role will be predominately in the Kindergarten rooms working with another Kindergarten Teacher and a Diploma Qualified assistant.  We are happy to support the further development of the right applicant.  New Graduates that meet the criteria of Early Childhood Teachers or those working towards are encouraged to apply as our organisation has a number of Qualified ECTs that are able to support a new graduate.

Skills and experience



  • Develop in conjunction with the team an early childhood education (ECE) program in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Queensland Learning Kindergarten Guideline (QLKG) and the National Quality Standards (NQS).

  • Implement and maintain an innovative ECE program:

  • Evaluate the ECE program according to the objectives and outcomes of the program and teaching strategies

  • Involve educators and other staff in planning, documenting and evaluating of programs to promote staff development

  • Compliance at all times with the National Quality Framework, all relevant legislation both state and federal and the National Quality Standards.
