The Walsh Group Construction is a privately owned Australian company, specialising in Commercial, Residential and Government projects. 


The Walsh Group Construction is a growing Design and Construct company based in Waterloo. We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic candidate keen to join the team as an Estimator on a full time basis. 


The Role


This opportunity will allow you to develop a great career and build an amazing project portfolio. 



  • Estimate costings for each project, 

  • Analyse quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers

  • Purchasing of materials, liaising with clients, suppliers & sub –contractors

  • Cost Forecasting and Tracking for each project

  • Complete and evaluate tenders and proposals for lump sum / long term contracts. Price projects accurately and competitively to ensure we have a great chance winning and delivering profitable projects.  

  • Work cohesively with project delivery team

  • Look for new business opportunities


Selection Criteria


The ideal candidate will have:   



  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction or Engineering

  • Minimum 2 years experience

  • Cost Management skills

  • The ability to read and interpret plans, reports & schedules

  • Exceptional numeracy, problem-solving and IT skills

  • Excellent communication and comprehension, both written & verbal

  • High attention to detail
