OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST – FLEXIBLE, SUBCONTRACTING OPPORTUNITY GEELONG (VIC) REGION

YO-T Yoga and Occupational Therapy has an opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our small innovative private OT practice servicing Geelong and surrounding areas in a subcontracting capacity. Flexible work arrangements, admin and account support provided, varied caseload, great team and learning environment!

Position Summary:

The successful candidate will provide Occupational Therapy services to a mixed adult and youth caseload of NDIS Participants, TAC, Workcover or Medicare. 

We offer services for people with physical and mental health challenges in the context of group and individual therapy, providing a range of OT assessment and interventions, including:

• Independent Living Skills Assessments


• Assistive Technology trials and scripting


• Home Modifications


• Sensory Integration and Modulation Strategies


• Emotional regulation


• Therapeutic supports to assist clients with capacity building and achieving individualised goals


• Providing therapy to clients in their home environment or local community


• Competent mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions

Our ideal new team member will have specialist skills and interest in one or more of the above areas.   

Key requirements

• Must have own ABN


• Possess and maintain unrestricted AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist


• Desirable is a minimum 5 years OT experience, working in a relevant clinical area, those with 3 years experience are still encouraged to apply.


• Ability to work independently and within a small team.


• Possess and maintain current Working with Children Check and National Police Record Check


• Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and preparedness to use own car for work purposes with willingness to travel to surrounding areas of Geelong.


• Advanced report writing skills and competency using MS Office suite


• The successful candidate will work from their own home; with access to our clinic space for therapy purposes and will receive regular and flexible mentoring and caseload support as required.

Desirable but not essential:

• Additional training to Occupational Therapy,  skillset aligned with our service.


• Yoga, meditation, mental health support and/or complimentary therapy.
