Slice Veneers is located in Seaford and has been servicing metropolitan Melbourne since 1963 (https://www.sliceveneers.com.au/), providing a wide range of contemporary door designs. The business manufactures its range using wood veneer, laminate, solid timber and veneer in bench tops, veneer panelling, custom made internal entry doors and furniture made to order. Our products expand right across the spectrum. We pride ourselves on being able to cater for every customer, making bespoke custom-made pieces tailored to customer design and size requirements being an important part of our services.


Qualifications & Experience



  • 2-5 years joinery cabinet making experience an advantage.

  • Have a passion for the wood working industry and a willingness to learn.

  • Be self-motivated and strive to achieve quality in each project you are involved in.

  • Able to work autonomously and show creativity and initiative.

  • Must have a calm and considerate attitude to work and be able to communicate effectively and clearly.

  • Ability to meet schedules.

  • Work neatly, efficiently and with accuracy.

  • Drivers licence.


Tasks & responsibilities



  • Participate and help produce and Manage veneer pressing & joinery orders.

  • Ensure workshop is managed and kept clean and presented to best practice standards.

  • Understand, manage and help maintain workshop equipment and aid in development of workshop.

  • Advise on stock inventory and ordering requirements if needed.

  • Have a natural sense of design, creativity and initiative to produce bespoke products. 

  • Help Minimise waste and utilise all material for greatest yield outcome.

  • Ability to grasp and understand our dynamic & unique growing business.
