Job Description


Are you a skilled registered nurse with GP experience?  Are you passionate about patient centered care?  


Our established private General Practice in Chermside requires experienced nurse join our team on a long term basis. 


Due to the nature of working solo in a small practice, The successful candidate will be required to multitask, work efficiently and independently and the role will require a combination of skills.    



  • Daily co-ordination of the treatment room: stock control, vaccine management, sterilization, general maintenance and care of medical instruments, and equipment

  • Identifying & contributing to the development of health assessments, care plans, Chronic disease management, and recall systems. 

  • Training provided for Assisting with wound care, ECG, recording immunisations

  • Lead role in Accreditation


additional reception duties include but not limited to. 


excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, phone triage and scheduling appointments, private billing, scanning & filing and advanced IT skills.  Experience with Pracsoft & Medical Director is highly valued.  


Do you have the qualities that we are looking for?



  • Current First Aid and CPR certification

  • A caring and collaborative approach to patient care

  • Previous experience working in general practice is highly regarded

  • Excellent oral & written communication skills

  • Excellent computer and technical skills

  • Proven multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills

  • Previous experience in General Practice Accreditation is highly regarded

  • Current AHPRA Nurse registration (if applicable)


This Position is casual with view increasing to full time for the right candidate. Roster will involve evening shifts. AM: 8am-3pm PM :1.30- 8.30pm (may vary). Plus holiday/sick cover. Immediate start.
