Job Description

Combined Wellness Solutions specialises in care and rehabilitation of physical and intellectual disabilities. Our exercise physiologists work with a range of neurological, spinal, traumatic, intellectual and muscular conditions.

Role Requirements:



  • Hold a bachelor degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or equivalent, with a masters /graduate diploma in exercise physiology

  • Current member of Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) and associated First aid qualifications

  • A current Australian Driver's Licence

  • Recent experience working in the field of Exercise Physiology

  • Demonstrate ability to work within occupational health and safety protocols, codes of conduct and ethical principles as outlined by ESSA

  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and within a team

  • Have a high work ethic and a can-do attitude

  • Show efficient critical thinking and fast paced problem solving skills

  • Professional written, oral and verbal communication skills, including computer literacy

  • Experience working with neurological and neuromuscular conditions is desired and will be held in high regard

  • Graduates with a high work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply


Common Duties: (include but not limited to)



  • Conducting initial assessments and establishing suitable treatment programs – based upon the findings from their initial assessment.

  • Accessing patient’s medical records – to understand their medical history and ascertain which past treatments, if any, have worked effectively.

  • Developing customised exercise programs for patients – which take into account all the above factors and aim to improve their overall physical health, strength and mobility.

  • Maintaining patient records – including timely recording of clinical notes, incident registers and client reports.

  • Building firm and long-lasting relationships with clients - enabling open communication and establishing a fun and supportive environment. 

  • Business development activities – establishing ongoing professional relationships with practitioners, potential referral networks and patients/clientele.


Role Details:


Our centre is located in Burleigh Heads, Queensland, and has been designed with open floor plan and accessible equipment for mobility aids and wheelchairs. 


You will be part of a fun, vibrant and passionate team. At CWS we have a high emphasis on creating a safe, lively and tight-nit community that make our staff and clients a great support network. 


The AEP we are looking for is someone who lights up the room, enjoys having fun and making others feel great. We want an EP with a high work ethic, great communication skills and a kind and caring nature.


Wages will be negotiated with the successful applicant based on qualifications and experience.


The position is set to commence ASAP with hours quickly increasing to full-time by November 2020.
