About the Role

Comstar Systems are seeking an experienced Construction Worker to join our Hobart team. Working closely with the Construction Specialist, you will be planning, building, and overseeing construction of communication projects. 

To be successful in this role you will need to have relevant experience and/or qualifications in building and or civil construction, strong communication skills, self-motivation, the ability to work effectively under time constraints, as well as the ability to build relationships with client representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and implement construction of communication projects including mobile towers, masts, and poles.


• Ability to undertake building and construction projects with the ability to interpret construction drawings.


• Strong Civil construction site experience including placement and setting out of reinforcement, concrete pouring, formwork, excavation and trenching


• Ensure that project completion documentation is prepared and reviewed thoroughly in line with clients’ requirements and quality standards.


• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with QEHS policies and procedures.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

• Certification(s) in Civil Construction or Building and Construction or equivalent onsite knowledge and/or experience


• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of construction principles as applicable to construction industry


• Experience in reinforcement and concrete practice


• Compliance Certifications including: White Card, High Risk Licence and First Aid.


• Current Tasmanian Driver’s Licence


• Medium Rigid License (or the ability to obtain one – highly desirable)


• Computer skills
